Students, physicians, nurses, allied health care workers, and activists from around the country will unite in Chicago to protest outside the annual meeting of the American Medical Association.
We are taking a stand AGAINST corporate greed, misleading advertising, and the profit motive in health care.
And FOR a system that guarantees quality health care and choice of provider for all Americans, regardless of income.
The rally will kick-off at the Blue Cross Blue Shield HQ (300 E Randolph St) at 1:30 PM, then we will march to the AMA convention held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel (151 E Wacker Drive).
"I am hopeful because right now, there is a mass movement of people from all over this country, rising up. Nurses, doctors, patients, caregivers, family members — we are all insisting that there is a better way to structure our society, a better way to care for one another, a better way to use our precious time together.
Join us in this struggle. Be a hero for your family, your communities, your country. Come give your passion and your energy and your precious time to this movement. It is a battle worth waging, and a battle worth winning. For my son Carl, for your children, and for our children’s children." - Ady Barkan, Be a Hero
